Antoni Rosell

He is doctor in Medicine, post-graduated in Biostadistics and associated professor at the Universitat de Barcelona. Currently, he is also the Clinical Director of the Thoracic area of Hospital Germans Trias I Pujol. Moreover, he is a researcher at CIBER Pulmonology group of respiratory diseases.

He supervises several research projects at Institute Carlos III and, other public institutions and international journals. Regarding his academic career, he has published more than 10 scientific articles with high impact factor and developed 3 patents.

Josep Brugada

He is doctor in Medicine and Surgery and post-graduated in Health Services. He was President of the European Society of Cardiac Arrythmias and Medical Director of the Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. Currently, he is chairman of Cardiology at University of Barcelona and Director of Pediatric Arrythmias Unit at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu.

He leads the 2.2 IDIBAPS research group, focusing on the study of mechanisms and treatments of cardiac arrythmias. Regarding his academic career, he has published more than 450 scientific articles with high impact factor and coordinated several research projects.

He was Head of Safety and Efficacy at the European Medicines Agency (EMA) during 2005-2012, and previously held leadership positions in the biopharmaceutical industry covering international clinical development, biostatistics and medical affairs.

He has developed expertise in several specific therapeutic areas and carried out postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacology, drug development and regulation.

He is a Telecommunication Engineer by Univeristat Politècnica de Catalunya, where he focused in Electronics.

Currently, he is Director of Tecno-Med Engineers, consultancy for the application of the requirements of the Medical Devices. He has a vast experience in classification of medical devices and the establishment of Quality Management Systems. He is also vice-president of the Spanish Society of Electromedicine and Clinical Engineering since 2013.
